Our tradition

Why CREC?

Historic Reformed faith. Joyful worship. A shared life in Christ.

The Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC) is the church communion in which we hope to plant a new congregation here in North Bend.

What is a CREC church?

We desire to see a Reformed and Evangelical church planted in North Bend, WA. Why? Because the truth of the Scriptures and the goodness of the sovereignty of God bring rest to weary souls.

Come join us to read, sing, pray, and feast to the glory of God!

Another denomination?

The CREC brings Reformed Presbyterian and Reformed Baptist churches together in a shared communion. The history of the CREC explains how this partnership developed.

Why another church?

A church closer to home is part of our vision. The nearby CREC congregations are in the Bothell and Lynnwood area, outside the Snoqualmie Valley. We hope to establish a congregation in North Bend so local families can worship, extend hospitality, and share church life with their neighbors throughout the week.

As the Kingdom of God expands, so will His Church, reflecting the growth of His influence and grace throughout the world. The Church serves as the tangible expression of God’s reign, and as more lives are transformed by His truth and love, the community of believers will inevitably increase in number and strength.

Our desire is to continue to experience the same joyful worship we’ve come to love at Trinity Church in Bothell, but have the opportunity to share it with people who live right next door in North Bend and Snoqualmie.

Let’s keep the conversation going.

If you’d like to learn more about CREC or the church plant, we’d love to hear from you.
